Exhibition stand design

How we design an exhibition stand

People see your stand twice: from across the hall at six metres, then from a metre away while they wait for a coffee. Exhibition stand design has to work at both. We design it, produce the artwork to the builder’s spec, and manage the build so what goes up is what was drawn.

Abode’s stand at the NEC, then their graphics in B&Q and Wickes, then the brochures on the counter. Four people there brief us separately and it still comes out as one brand, even when the next show needs a stand of a different shape.

Questions

What does the stand builder need from us?

Artwork drawn to their spec: the file format they print from, at the scale they work in, with their bleed, and every panel already split along the joins in their drawings. It goes to print as it arrives, with nothing left for the builder to fix.

How long before the show should we start?

A month before the doors open. That leaves room for the design, your sign-off and the builder's own print and build schedule.

Do you come to the build?

If you want us there, yes, and we'd rather be. Being on the floor while the panels go up means a join or a misplaced panel gets caught while it can still be put right.

Have you designed for a show at the NEC?

Yes. Abode's stand at kbb Birmingham, at the NEC, then their graphics in B&Q and Wickes and the brochures on the counter.

See your brand the way everyone else does.

A free audit of your brand out in the world: the website, the print, the signage, the templates your own team fills in. We do the work, then walk you through it.

Start before you have a brief.

You don’t need a brief. A name, an email and a few lines about where things stand is enough. We’ll come back with questions, and tell you plainly how we can help.
