Gold Top built Boss Design’s website in 2021. In 2025 Boss asked us to design the one that replaced it.
The brief
Boss Design make contract furniture in the West Midlands and sell it through showrooms in London, Manchester, Chicago, Dubai and Tokyo.
Their 2021 site was designed elsewhere and built by Gold Top Collective, the web studio our founder co-owns. In August 2025 they asked us to design its replacement. The old site was mostly text on white, and they wanted one with far more life in it.
The approach
Gold Top had already spent a whole build inside their thinking, so we knew where they would bend and where they would not.
Every page now opens on one of Boss’s photographs or a single flat colour, with the heading split either side of a thin rule: Discover, Our Products. Our, Showrooms. The design went through with no amends to the look and feel.
What was done
The site and a new fabric library were both live by July 2026, the UK first and then the other regions. Today bossdesign.com runs in UK and US English, French, German and Japanese.
